37 Weeks

I'm 37 weeks now and had a doctor's appt this afternoon. The doctor checked me and told me that I'm now 1-2 cms dilated and 50% effaced. The baby has also dropped (which I suspected since she hasn't been in my ribs for the last couple of days). My Group B strep test came back negative, woohooo! My doctor said the baby could come next week or anytime now, of course I know there's no way to know, I could be walking around pregnant 4 weeks from now!

Shower

My friend Kathryn who had planned on hosting my shower Sunday was put on bedrest just days before (she's also preggo). My sweet friend Vickie stepped in and offered to host at the last minute. Vickie lives in Fayetteville but she and her husband also have a house in the small, historic town of Senoia. She decided to have the shower at this house due to it's closeness to church. The house was built in the late 1800's and is very cute and quaint. Unfortunately, my camera died about 5 mins into my shower...which is strange b/c my battery usually lasts forever!! Other than that, it was a fun time with great food and friends!

Our Little Man is FIVE Years Old!

Where has the time gone? It's hard to believe that Maxwell is already 5 yrs old. He had a blast at his party last night and loved all of his presents. We've made some great friends since moving here and we were so thankful to be able to celebrate his birthday with all of them.
A few things about Maxwell that make him such a blessing to us:

1. He is so eager to share a "kiss and a hug" with his family.
2. He still gets soooo excited when daddy comes home from work everyday.
3. He loves playing "Simon Says" with Olivia and daddy before bedtime.
4. He's always so eager to check out new kinds of bugs outside.
5. He's so sweet and loving to our cat, Tiger.
6. He loves giving mommy's pregnant tummy kisses and telling Abigail he loves her.
7. He's finally getting over his picky eating and will try just about anything.
8. He loves helping mommy fold laundry and even puts his clean clothes where they belong.
9. He doesn't mind brushing his teeth after eating...he's worried about those "sugarbugs".
10. He's so excited to go to school with his big sister in the fall.
11. He still takes a nap for mommy when he needs to.
12. He loves spending 6 or 7 hrs on a boat fishing with daddy....good times.
13. He LOVES getting his hair cut...he would probably sit all day having it done if possible.
14. He loves visiting our neighbor's garden and helping out with it (it's the next best thing to Deda's garden in Arkansas).

Baby bedding

Abigail's armoire and the canvas that will hang over her crib will arrive with Nana and Papoo about a week after she is born. Other than that, her room is pretty much ready for her!

Fun at the Lake

Hudson and I took the kids to West Point Lake today. Maxwell couldn't understand why we were on a party barge and Nana and Papoo weren't there. He asked who was going to drive us if Papoo wasn't there..."what about our family?" he asked. Kinda sad :( Unfortunately, Olivia wasn't able to ski behind the barge, it was against the rental "rules". She can ski behind Hudson's boat, so we'll have to do that sometime soon!

Monkeying Around

Yesterday, the kids and I joined my friend Annette and her kids and played at Monkey Joe's. It's a great place to spend a couple of hours in air conditioning and let the kids wear themselves out. They had a ball, although the girls complained at first that they were bored with the inflatables...somehow they managed to have some fun ;)

Weeeee!

Taking a break

Striking a pose, such a ham!

Fishing

Last weekend, before heading to Disney, Hudson and his fishing buddies headed to the Gulf and had a nice fishing trip. Hudson LOVES fishing offshore...I have a feeling he'll be retiring early to be a deckhand on a boat one day! Here are a couple of pics...I'm still waiting on a group picture to be emailed to me (hint hint).

DisneyWorld

It was our last vacation before Hudson and I are outnumbered by children. We had a lot of fun, the kids really enjoyed every minute of it and we were on the go the entire time. We stayed at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort, very nice! The kids loved the resort's pool and restaurant. Tuesday, Olivia and I headed to the Magic Kingdom for her appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Cinderella's Castle. She loved every minute of the pampering, it's such a neat place a room full of little princesses getting all dressed up. Afterwards we met my sister and nieces and headed to Epcot to have a princess breakfast at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.
After Breakfast we met up with Hudson and Maxwell and headed to Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM). Maxwell got to meet some of his favorite Disney characters and checkout the new Playhouse Disney Stage Show. Hudson and the kids also rode the Tower of Terror (without me! boohoo).
Wednesday morning we all headed to Disney's Blizzard Beach, we had a great time relaxing and enjoying the water slides.
Thursday, we spent the day at the Magic Kingdom. We had a great breakfast at the Crystal Palace where we met all of the characters from Pooh and friends. We rode several rides afterwards the Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (I passed on this one). We had a great lunch at Tony's Town Square before heading back to the resort for a break. The kids took a nap and then we headed to the Contemporary Resort for dinner at California Grill with my sister and her family. Afterwards we headed back to the Magic Kingdom until closing. We had a blast and appreciate Ursula for letting us tag along, we can't wait until we can take Abigail for the first time!
